Did my Couch-to-5K (C25K) and Stronglifts 5x5 (SL5x5) sets, today. Worked easier than the past two days, but probably a “better” amount, total.

I did the week 3 C25K set at an average pace of 5 miles per hour, with the longest stretch being 3 minutes of jogging. I’ve done some of the C25K stuff before, and really appreciate how it works you into the stretches over time. Today’s run felt refreshing without draining me too much. I need to remember to do the C25K sets on my runs.

The SL5x5 was enough to feel it, but I still don’t feel like I’ve given it 100% at these weights. It’s obviously meant, like C25K, to gradually roll you into the harder exercises, but something psychological always tells me it’s not hard enough to be a “real” workout.

I did 60 pound squats, 60 pound overhead presses, and 90 pound deadlifts. This particular fitness center doesn’t have a barbell, just a 10 pound curl bar with 1” ends, and a shockingly limited set of 1” plates (only 80 pounds, total). It’s free to use, though.
