You know, today actually wasn’t half bad. Fasting makes a pretty prominent difference. After about three quarters of a mile rucking on graded land, I decided to take advantage of the local forest trails and did another mile there.
I did four sets of the crawls and lunges. Crab walking with a ruck is pure punishment. That has completely replaced burpees as my least favorite until I have to do burpees with a ruck, then I’ll just find a pair of crutches for the rest of the day.
All the stretching yesterday really helped my leg recover. I’ll have to amend the rest of the R&R plans to include stretching.
I still need to find some coupons for the heavy weight requirements, and consider what I will need for various weather conditions. It is getting colder by the day, so planning for rain and snow before it happens will be helpful.
Adding explicit rests between each set of crawls would have prevented me from trying to continue a bit too soon.
